What I Want This Website to Be

I didn’t build this site only to list where I’ve worked. I wanted a place that feels more like me: part project archive, part notebook, and part ongoing experiment.

A place for things I make

Some of what I make is physical: mechanical designs, CAD models, and mechanisms. Some of it is digital: small software tools, automation, and systems I am still figuring out.

The projects section is a place to collect those threads. A short video can sometimes explain an idea better than a formal case study, so practical demonstrations belong here too.

A blog without a fixed subject

The blog is intentionally broader than engineering. I may write about a project, something I am learning, an idea I want to think through, or simply something worth remembering.

Technical work is part of my life, but it is not the only possible topic. I would rather let the blog grow naturally than decide in advance what every post must be about.

Two languages, one space

English is the default language, with a complete Simplified Chinese version available through normal links. Keeping both versions in the same content system makes translation gaps visible and allows each article pair to stay connected.

The Chinese writing is intended to read naturally rather than mirror English sentence by sentence. The goal is the same idea in the voice that suits each language.

Simple on purpose

The site is deliberately simple. There is no account system, analytics, or complicated publishing platform. That keeps it fast and makes it easy to change without turning the website itself into a full-time project.

I can add a post, a project, or a new direction whenever it feels useful. That is enough structure to begin—and enough freedom for the site to become something I cannot fully plan yet.
